Universal Bathtubs for the Disabled
Wheelchair or Walker Accessible Bathroom
The most versatile in the line of Seabridge bathing systems is the Universal bathtub for the disabled. If you have any disability, the Universal is the perfect choice.
You simply open the door and sit down or transfer over, slide your legs in and begin bathing. If you are using a wheelchair, the Universal is designed to allow you to make safe transfers onto the seat with even moderate upper body strength.
No other product available allows the door to pass over top of your legs, allowing you to transfer easily from wheelchair to bath seat.
Whether assisted, or bathing independently, there is no safer or more comfortable bathing solution available to you. As the name says, this really is a universal design bathtub.

Dear Seabridge
We just purchased a home with one of your walk in tubs in it,WOW!
Now we are still a young couple mid 40's but the way we feel when we get in and out of the tub is unbelieveable.
I can't just see the older generations using these walk in tubs... this is for the whole family.
Although our kids are grown we feel like we are on a vacation each time we step into it.
Sincerely,
Dale Kerr

Features and Benefits

Quick Drain System
Your bath drains more than twice as fast as a conventional "single drain" system when using Seabridge's Quick Drain System.
That's because Seabridge uses two drains on the floor of all of its baths.
Your safety is important. Our Quick Drain System eliminates the risk of being trapped in the bath due to a single drain failure.

Fast-Fill Taps
With our Fast Fill Taps, you don't have to wait for our Universal bathtubs for the handicapped to fill. They fill faster than any product available.
Our own specific bath taps ensure you receive the fastest water delivery possible.
The full ¾" pillar tap allows for faster fill times -- 10 to 15 gallons per minute.
The ceramic disc cartridges within the handles allow for smooth operation and easy lever handle rotation. From fully on to fully off is only ¼ of a handle turn.
As with all accessories, our taps are ADA-compliant and certified.
We do not divert water from the tub spout to a shower spray, like conventional bathtubs.

Universal Door Closure System
The door system on the Universal is unique. The door is outward swinging but does not require a latching system for the door to close.
The bath design itself acts as the seal and the door cannot be opened while the bath has water in it. This protects the user from accidentally disengaging the door, as is the case with standard outward swinging doors seen on other products in the market.
Having the door disengage when the bath is filled with water could result in a very costly and dangerous situation for the user or care provider.
